What a beautiful gift for your girls who have clearly grown up to be amazing young women. I’m sure the 3rd Kashdan will be equally fabulous at 18. 🤩 I would have loved to have received a letter like this on my 18th birthday.

I have 6 more years with my oldest before he turns 18...you've inspired me to add a goal of writing a letter like this to him -- which will require a lot of work in the next 6 years! You and your daughters are so fortunate to have each other. Happy birthday and congratulations on launching your twins!

Enjoy those youngens. Sounds like your oldest is my youngest in age.

I’m a twin so I get their twin thing. But they get along better than we do.

In my opinion the only feeling better than raising kids you enjoy hanging out with is having kids that enjoy hanging out with you too. Sounds like you might know what that feels like. Congrats on getting them to 18!!

So true. How do you kids fare at the hug to violent altercation ratio?

Hahaha. As long as I give my daughter notice that a hug is incoming - then she doesn't duck and weave like a champion boxer. My son's a great hugger - but 50/50 it will turn into a fake street fight - tbh typically instigated by me. The last one ended in a debate on the best place to kick a knee in self defence - side or front? Speaking of hugs ... I received a hug today from someone who patted my back which I remember you referenced in some previous post. I didn't burp and it wasn't unpleasant - but I did wonder why they felt the need to do it.

That made me tear up. Everytime I think about my girls, how they grow up, how beautiful they are, I cannot but cry. It's a bittersweet feeling of knowing you have something so beautiful, yet so briefly. And I'm trying to enjoy them as much as I can, and tryint my best not to let my dark side affect them.

I admire your words to each of them, and I'm sure they'll trascend you and make some good in the world, and boy, we need more of that.

Open up the champagne as parents today, you deserve it.

I smiled. I cried. I was joyful for your daughters. I’m wishing them the happiest 18th birthday. No matter what gift they receive today, the gift of your love and wisdom will wash over their souls and infuse them all that’s wonderful , meaningful, and bless them with knowing they are creative, worthy, whole, and way more than enough! I bet they remember these letters for the rest of their lives.

thanks and you have been there for years.

my mind regularly thinks I never know when I'm going to go, so I want them to always know what their dad thinks of them.
