Intriguing use of AI to inject some levity and mild banter to invite us into the topic and evoke insights. Might be my personal biases but to me it was lacking a sense of palpable vulnerability. The conversation seemed timed too well as if they were the same person but speaking in different voices. One immediate tell tale is with 14:30 remaining time mentioning of speaking about self in the 3rd person, “instead of saying I am frustrated you can say your name is feeling frustrated”. In an person to person interview this would naturally be filled with ‘Darren is feeling frustrated”.
Just like the raw realness of your AMA and podcasts, i want to be given the power of forgiving your lapses. Would it be strange if the AI was interviewing you instead?
Darren, glad you said this. I played it again on the 3.5 hour trip to Ocean City, Maryland with my daughter. We both couldn't stand it. Interestingly, my 12 year old picked up on the AI tells within the first two minutes. The repetition of colloquial phrases grated. Oooooh....let me see how that could happen. That would be a better experiment. How does an AI interviewer respond extemporaneously, especially if I pivot? How do you think an interviewer would fare at doing this?
As I am listening to the bots discussing being aware of our biases, I am wondering how aware is AI of its own biases and how much flexibility is built within its fabric?
I loved to be reminded of these important concepts, thank you Todd!
😂 these bots repeat concepts so many times that i could only listen on 2x speed. What’s incredible is how the use of “like” and “so” makes them sound eerily human
The 2 AI bots talking about dissent. Fascinating. My most intrusive thought is who is responsible for the thinking of AI?
It sounds like 24 year old boys who are know it all’s, black and white thinkers who don’t know how to have a conversation with a real person.
The next thing that really bothers me is the feminine voice thinks the same as a guy. That’s just stupid and kind of terrifying that we now have AI also telling women how to think/preferred behaviour. I’m throwing rocks at it :)
