I’ve got a secret folder filled with articles that have never seen the light of day. Why, you ask? Well, they've been deemed too spicy, too prone to misinterpretation by authorities in my life (publishers, university administrators, hangry 11-year old Violet). I've got to say, I'm not a fan of this kind of advice. It feels like we're infantilizing adults, don't you think? (for more, read how the Coddling of the American Mind is Speeding Up)?
Before we dive in to one of these pieces, a quick heads up. This is one of my bonus posts, a little extra something for my paid subscribers. Don't worry free subscribers, you'll still get plenty of content this week. I'm just grateful to have readers interested in fresh insights on the science of well-being and how to live an epic life. Over 10,000 readers, no less!
For those supporting my mission, consider this a subscriber perk. And if you're thinking about upgrading for the full experience, there's no better time than now. I'm offering a 30% discount for until our friend Hanukkah Man packs up his dreidels on 12/15/23! Click here:
Now, back to that forbidden op-ed…let me know what you think.
